Your team is preparing to return to the office, and you want to make sure the return goes smoothly and builds the type of workplace culture that people are excited to work in.

Or maybe you’re already back – whether full time or hybrid – and you’re noticing that, well, it’s just not the same as it used to be.

The reality is that a LOT has changed over the last two years, and no matter how excited we might be (or not be!) about the return to the office, it’s going to be a bit of a bumpy ride.

We’ve gotten used to new ways of working. We’ve gotten used to the Zoom look – professional on the top, sweats on the bottom. And we won’t be able to use our favourite online meeting functions once we’re meeting in person – no more side chats or turning our cameras off in the middle of a presentation.

And, the truth is, some folks don’t want to go back.

How do you, as a leader, manage this transition? It’s a lot to navigate, on top of your regular role.

That’s where Returning Well comes in. This new program is designed to ease your return to the office.

You’re looking to build:

  • A thriving workplace with respect and kindness as a foundation
  • A workplace culture that helps people feel energized to come to work
  • A team that’s mentally healthier and better able to manage the stresses and challenges that come their way
  • A team that’s able to work at their best, so that your organization is at its best

This program can help get you there.

We’ll focus on three main areas:

  • Supporting your team members
  • Supporting your leadership (including managers, supervisors and directors)
  • Addressing some of the underlying issues that are impacting your team on the return through strategic advice that will ease your return to the office.

We’ll use a combination of all-hands workshops, leadership development, and strategic support for your team.

All-hands workshop topics include:

  • Talking About Mental Health – mental health & mental wellness 101, plus how we can have conversations about how we’re doing in the office
  • Navigating the Return to the Office – it’s been a long two years, and we’ve all created new working norms and habits. During this session, we’ll work through the things we need to consider as we return to in-person work at the workplace.
  • Managing Change & Uncertainty – change and uncertainty are baked into the cake for our modern world, and they can have a huge impact on our mental well-being and focus at work. If we’re in a constant state of stress, it’s hard to think long-term or focus on the tasks at hand. This session focuses on how we can minimize the impact of change and uncertainty on ourselves, from a mental well-being lens.
  • Building Trust and Connection at work – our working relationships have a huge impact on how we feel about our workplace. This session explores how we can build trust and connection with our co-workers, as well as how we can each contribute to building a workplace culture with respect and kindness as its bedrock.

Leadership Development Topics can include:

  • Talking About Mental Health – Mental Health & Mental Wellness 101, plus how we can have conversations about how we’re doing in the office
  • Resilient Leaders Create Thriving Teams – we’re often squeezed between what our leaders want from us, the work we need to do, and managing our teams. This session explores ways we can manage our energy, focus, and priorities so that we’re able to thrive in our workplace
  • Building Engagement in the Hybrid Workplace – many workplaces are continuing a hybrid model, with some time in the office and some time working from home. This session will explore strategies for making the most of in-person time, as well as setting norms and expectations for all team members.
  • Navigating the Return to the Office – it’s been a long two years, and we’ve all created new working norms and habits. During this session, we’ll work through the things we need to consider as leaders as we return to in-person work at the workplace.
  • Leadership to Build Well-Being, Part 1 – there are a handful of factors that impact mental well-being in the workplace, and as a leader, you directly influence a number of them. Part one focuses on overall themes for how we lead to build well-being, with a particular focus on clear leadership & expectations and how this factor impacts your team.
  • Leadership to Build Well-Being, Part 2 – building on Part 1, Leadership to Build Well-being Part 2 has a deep dive into two other major factors that impact well-being in our teams – workload management and psychological safety.
  • Managing Change & Uncertainty – change and uncertainty are baked into the cake for our modern world, and they can have a huge impact on our mental well-being and focus at work. If we’re in a constant state of stress, it’s hard to think long-term or focus on the tasks at hand. This session focuses on how leaders can minimize the negative impacts of change and uncertainty on their teams, from a mental well-being lens.
  • Building Trust and Connection at work – our working relationships have a huge impact on how we feel about our workplace. It’s often said that people don’t leave jobs, they leave managers. This session explores how we can build trust and connection with our co-workers and direct-reports, as well as how we can build a workplace culture with respect and kindness as its bedrock.
